Russo Paces Women’s Cross Country at Smith College Meet

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (9/7/13) – The Lasell College women's cross country team placed sixteenth overall at the Smith College Invitational. Lasell competed over the 5K course with 17 other teams, scoring 453 points in the meet.

Jamie Russo finished 100^th in the meet, completing the 5,000 meter course in 22:33.29 to lead the way for Lasell. Jessica Smith and Rachel Knuth were second and third across the line for the Lasers, finishing with times of 24:13.13 and 24:28.85 respectively. Solange Carpenter was the fourth member of the Lasell squad to finish, covering the distance in 25:25.33 followed by Bethany McNulty, Alaina Eldredge, Jessica Clark and Jen Lemoine with times of 31:14.24, 31:40.38, 33:05.43, and 33:58.03.
