Hurty Selected to Play in NEIBA All-Star Game
NEWTON, Mass. (5/20/16) – Senior Wes Hurty (Windsor, Conn.) will represent the Lasell College baseball team in the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-Star game for the first time since the program’s inception. The game will be played on Fitton Field on the campus Holy Cross on Sunday, June 5, at 6:00 p.m.

The game will be played on Fitton Field on the campus Holy Cross on Sunday, June 5, at 6:00 p.m.
Hurty, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Year, received First Team and Gold Glove honors as Lasell's standout catcher. Hurty batted .348 on the year, and knocked in 32 RBI's to rank seventh among conference stat leaders and first among his teammates. With 39 hits, 10 doubles, and two home runs this season, Hurty produced a tremendous on base percentage of .469.
The slugging backstop was joined by Nic Lops of St. Joseph's (Maine), as the two GNAC representatives on the team.
